Denver, CO 2.3.10 ~ There are plenty of GFFL teams playing this winter indoors.  Indoor leagues keep it going with Challengers Bar on sunday nights in the Dome and Lightning, and Sharpest Rides (FTC) wednesday nites at foothills.  There should be enough competition to get teams ready for the upcoming GFFL spring season and the notoriety and cash winnings that come with it.  Pro~Bowl will be played 2.28.2010, congratulations again to everyone that made it for part II of this great event.  The best game I have ever seen was Pro~Bowl I and we should be able to top that... This years winning Pro~Bowl II team receives pitchers and wings on the commish...

Denver, CO 1.31.10 ~ Challlengers Bar wins a local round robin tournament in lakewood and earned 25 seeding points.  They were lead by their new QB Dave Greene on offense and a stingy defense that gave up 12 points for the entire tournament.  Dave Maestas is hosting a tournamet February 21st in Northglenn and he is anxious to win a GFFL Championship after winning the Thunderbowl in dominant fashion this winter, however G.O.A.T.S. haven't played much ball since? They picked up  ex-Challengers Bar WR John Cassell and ex-Gambler DL Will Powers, but lose WR Mario Lopez to the Gamblers. Lightning was the hottest team around until their team decided to no-show for the Foothills playoffs.  After going undefeated in the regular season they tanked in the playoffs and lost to "p-state" (who?) but they were runner up at the flagmag nationals in Las Vegas and could win an indoor championship against the Rockers sunday January 31st. FTC begins indoor league play this wednesday February 3rd and are expected to challenge for the championship again, you'll have to be there to find out what new additions they have as FTC camp is remaining silent. 

Las Vegas, NV 1.17.10 ~ TO BE THE BEST YOU HAVE TO BEAT THE BEST! Denver Gamblers win the AFAL National Championship by defeating the Texas Scatbacks in the semi-final and San Diego Xpress in the finalll .  It's the perfect beginning to 2010 after winning 2 GFFL championships back to back and also a Touch of Class Championship in 2009.  It's still not known whether or not the Gamblers will rest for the remainder of the winter or not but either way they will be the favorite heading into Spring 2010.  The $500 bounty hanging over their heads doesn't seem to bother them at all and they welcome the challenge. GFFL spoke with Pro-Bowl DL Brent Erickson who is also a team captain for the Gamblers.  Read the interview with Brent here.
